The GIGAS Consortium will bring together representatives of GEOSS, INSPIRE, GMES, of the standardisation organizations, and of EU (co)-funded projects. The meeting will take stock of what has been achieved so far by the GIGAS project, and will cross the t-s and dot the i-s for future plans in relation to a sustained interoperability between GEOSS, INSPIRE, GMES.

Objectives:

  • Present the long-term perspective of GIGAS
  • Define a more detailed action plan for the upcoming months to support and ensure the sustainability of GIGAS results
  • Receive feedback from leading representatives of GEO, GMES and INSPIRE from the executive level
  • Receive feedback from specific shaping activities to highlight and report back from the perception of concrete GIGAS results
  • Re-affirming / validation of GIGAS results and their usefulness
